Dominic Brassard
Continuous Improvement Consultant
A graduate engineer in mechanical engineering from the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario, Dominic completed a Masters of Business Administration at Laval University in 2005.
After his compulsory service in the Canadian Armed Forces, he continued his career at the Kenworth truck factory in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, as a production supervisor. He then relocated to the Quebec City region by accepting a position as supervisor, then later, manager of production, at the Prevost Coaches factory. He then settled in the Beauce, Quebec as plant manager with Comact, specializing in the manufacture of cutting equipment.
With a partner, Dominic founded his own continuous improvement consulting firm in 2005. Armed with 21 years experience in manufacturing management, he had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and concepts of the Toyota Production System (TPS) from a Japanese master, for the next six years. He has completed several projects in continuous improvement in manufacturing processes (Lean Manufacturing), administration (Lean Office) and in the health community (Lean Healthcare) for clients including: Comact, Manac, Rotobec, Kott Lumber, Metal Bernard, the ministries of Health in Saskatchewan and Ontario. He also teaches Lean Management at Laval University and UQAR.
A skilled communicator in English and French, Dominic runs his workshops in a dynamic and interactive manner, using many examples from real cases. He uses his experience on the ground to achieve concrete results, in line with the corporate strategy of his clients.
